Curated Kosher Chocolate Parties in New York City
I’m a food writer specializing in craft chocolate in New York City, and I host curated, kosher-certified chocolate tastings that deepen our understanding of one of our favorite foods. In the comfort of your own home, at a chic restaurant, or in my favorite private event space, I'll guide you through a tasting of multiple bean-to-bar chocolates, and you can double the deliciousness with cheese, beer, wine, and tea pairings to match. You'll also taste delicacies like whole cacao beans and discover how they have terroir, like wine grapes.
In other words, this is not your basic party. This is for people who want to take a trip instead of get a nice piece of jewelry, people who love specialty coffee and cheese, people who want to enjoy hanging out with their friends while learning something new. All while keeping kosher!
Plus I give back to local nonprofits through each and every event so that everyone can enjoy chocolate and feel the love.
So are you ready to get this out-of-the-ordinary party started?
“Megan curated a beautiful, fun, fascinating, and delicious artisanal chocolate tasting for my husband’s 50th birthday! We had lots of special requests, including kosher-certified and dairy-free chocolate. Megan complied with every one of our requirements efficiently, flawlessly and enthusiastically. Megan’s personal relationships with most of the chocolatiers adds an enriching and entertaining layer of endearing anecdotes about the people behind the chocolates.”
— Shulie Rubin, NJ
“Highly recommend for both the newbie chocolate lover and those with more sophisticated palates!”
— Tamara, Rock Hill, SC
“Her broad understanding and her lack of pretense are a good combination for relating easily to a large audience.”
— David, New York, NY

At my private chocolate tastings, we talk a LOT about where chocolate comes from, but it’s another thing to see it for yourself. Here is a little video I made a few years ago called “From Bean to Bonbon” that illustrates this process from start to finish. The best part? I can bring fresh cacao pods and fresh cacao juice to your tasting so you can try this delicious and unique fruit for yourself!
